Shell Bay Club , located in Hallandale, FL , is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Mixologist ! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon , you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. Summary: Seeking a professional mixologist who is well versed in luxury spirits and craft cocktail creation. Must be able to create bespoke cocktails and manage inventory. Schedule: Must be able to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Key Responsibilities: - Curates and executes high-quality, creative cocktails and seasonal drink menus in collaboration with the Clubhouse Manager. - Takes the lead in improving and establishing bar standards, including presentation, technique, cleanliness, and service protocols. - Prepares and serves beverages in accordance with club standards and responsible alcohol service policies. - Maintains cleanliness and organization of the bar area at all times. - Provides bartending services during daily operations and special club events, both on- and off-site. - Assists in beverage inventory, including rotation, stock levels, and communicating needs to management. - Participates in tastings and product education sessions as needed to support staff development. - Performs opening and closing duties including restocking, cleaning, and reconciling sales. - Ensures compliance with all applicable liquor laws and club policies. - Provides friendly, professional, and timely service to members and guests. - Supports execution of beverage components at banquets, tournaments, and catered functions. - Incorporates safe work practices into daily performance. - Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Knowledge/Skill: - Knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, including origin, flavor profile, and proper service. - Creativity and enthusiasm for developing original cocktails. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to multitask and thrive in fast-paced environments. - Basic knowledge of POS systems and beverage cost awareness. Certificates/Licenses: - Alcohol Awareness Training (required or ability to obtain upon hire). Physical Requirements: - Frequently stands, walks, talks, hears, and uses hands to handle or feel objects. - Regularly reaches with arms and lifts up to 25 pounds; occasionally may lift up to 50 pounds. Environment/Noise: - Moderate to high noise levels in bar and event settings. - Occasional work outdoors or off-site.
