Intern Golf Course Maintenance Worker

About the role This internship provides experience working at a multi-course facility. You will work alongside a staff of over 50 associates and have the chance to develop supervisory skills. This is a seasonal, part-time position. What you'll do You will assist the superintendent and assistants with the daily operation and management of the golf courses. Your tasks include: Performing golf course maintenance and construction. Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation and drainage systems. Calibrating and applying fertilizer and pesticides. Establishing turfgrass and preparing the course for tournaments. Assisting with projects such as tree planting, native plant landscaping, and fairway contouring. Conducting research, including water sampling, pesticide research, and nematode research. Training employees and managing daily labor scheduling. What you'll need Enrollment in or completion of a turf management program. An understanding of course conditioning, including how to determine, attain, and compare levels of quality. Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. Location & details Location: Kohler, Wisconsin. Work mode: On-site. Schedule: Shifts are primarily 5:00am to 2:00pm, including weekdays and weekends.
