*Position Summary**
The Golf Course Ranger plays a key role in maintaining an exceptional golf experience for members and guests. This position is responsible for monitoring pace of play, enforcing course policies, and providing outstanding customer service while ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and well-managed environment on the course.
*Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor pace of play to ensure rounds are completed within club guidelinesPolitely and professionally communicate with golfers regarding pace, course etiquette, and club policiesAssist members and guests with on-course needs, directions, and general supportEnforce golf course rules, including cart regulations, dress code (if applicable), and safety standardsReport any course issues (damage, maintenance concerns, safety hazards) to golf operations staffProvide first-line response to minor incidents or emergencies and contact appropriate staff when neededCoordinate with the Golf Shop and Starter to manage tee sheet flow and course trafficMaintain a visible and approachable presence on the course at all times*QualificationsPrevious golf knowledge required; familiarity with golf etiquette and rules preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-service mindsetAbility to handle sensitive situations tactfully and professionallySelf-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervisionReliable, punctual, and detail-orientedMust be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions*Physical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, and drive a golf cart for extended periodsOccasional lifting (up to 25 lbs)Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed*Preferred TraitsFriendly, approachable demeanorCalm under pressure and good at conflict resolutionProfessional appearance and attitude consistent with a private club environment*Compensation & Benefits**Competitive hourly wageGolf privileges (based on club policy)
