<p>Scenic Golf & Country Club, a member-owned public golf club located at 8364 Filion Road in Pigeon, Michigan, is seeking to fill a vacancy for Golf Club General Manager starting with the 2027 season.</p>
<p><strong>About the course:</strong></p>
<p>Scenic is a 75-year-old country club located in a Lake Huron resort community in the Thumb area of Michigan. The club offers dining, social, and recreational opportunities. The Par 71 championship golf course challenges players of every level in a unique up north setting. The course plays from just over 4,500 yards to just over 6,100 yards. Scenic is the only 18-hole golf course in the immediate area, located four miles from Caseville.</p>
<p>The club has approximately 150 members and is open to the public. Scenic is governed by a Board of Directors with nine members serving three-year terms. Committees at the Club include Finance & Strategic Planning, Social & Marketing, Clubhouse, Greens Tees & Landscaping, and Irrigation. Capital Projects are ongoing, with average investments exceeding depreciation. </p>
<p><strong>Job Description</strong>:</p>
<p>The Golf Club General Manager (GM) is responsible for all aspects of the club, including its activities and relationships with members, guests, employees, and the community. In collaboration with the Board, the GM coordinates and administers the club’s policies and develops, implements, and monitors the club’s plans and budget. The GM is responsible for the Club's overall financial performance, monitors the quality of the club’s products and services, ensures maximum member and guest satisfaction, leads all department managers, and oversees the entire team's performance. The GM is responsible for securing and protecting the club’s assets, including facilities and equipment.</p>

<p>Apply by October 10, 2026. The position would begin in early 2027 to allow time to plan for the season, with on-site employment starting in March 2027.</p>
<p><strong>Work Availability</strong>:</p>
<ul>
<li>30 to 50 hours per week from March to early November, with some off-season planning work required between mid-November and early March.</li>
<li>Must be available to work Holidays and Weekends, according to business needs.</li>
