Overview
Twin Creeks Country Club is committed to maintaining premier playing conditions year-round and is seeking a turf professional who takes pride in producing championship-level golf surfaces.
The club is a premier private 18-hole facility located in Cedar Park, Texas, and is seeking an experienced Golf Course Superintendent or Senior Assistant to lead the daily operations of the Golf Course Maintenance department.
This position will serve as the primary on-site leader responsible for the golf course and grounds, overseeing the maintenance team and directing daily operations to maintain exceptional playing conditions for members and guests. The person in this role will supervise the current Senior Assistant Superintendent and maintenance staff while reporting to the Texas Regional Superintendent, who will maintain an on-site presence when not traveling to provide guidance, oversight, and strategic support.
This role offers a high level of operational autonomy, allowing the Superintendent to make day-to-day decisions that directly impact course conditions and staff performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all daily maintenance operations for the private 18-hole golf course
Supervise the Senior Assistant Superintendent and maintenance team
Plan and execute agronomic programs including fertility, pesticide applications, irrigation management, and cultural practices
Coordinate daily crew assignments, course setup, and project work
Monitor turf health and course playability to maintain high-level playing conditions
Manage chemical and fertilizer programs in accordance with agronomic plans
Assist with budgeting, inventory management, and equipment coordination
Maintain accurate records of chemical applications and agronomic practices
Ensure safe work practices and proper training for all maintenance staff
Collaborate with the Regional Superintendent on course improvement initiatives and long-term agronomic planning, leveraging guidance when the Regional Superintendent is on-site
Oversee capital improvement projects, including renovation of par-3 tees, select high-traffic tees, and bunkers
Qualifications
Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or related field preferred; 5+ years of golf course maintenance experience with leadership responsibility
Previous Assistant or Superintendent experience preferred
Strong understanding of turfgrass management, irrigation systems, and golf course equipment
Texas pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain)
Strong attention to detail and motivation to continuously work towards the best playing conditions and challenging the team to be their best
Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays typical of the golf industry
Ability to always evaluate and reprioritize
Bilingual (Preferred)
