About the Role
Our client, a prestigious golf club, is seeking an accomplished and charismatic Head Golf Professional to lead golf operations and enhance the member and guest experience in **Fort Worth, Texas, US**. This leadership role requires a passion for golf, exceptional customer service skills, and a proven ability to manage all facets of a successful golf program. You will be responsible for overseeing the golf shop, instruction, club fitting, tournaments, and junior golf programs, while fostering a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for golfers of all levels.
Responsibilities: Manage all daily operations of the golf shop, including inventory control, merchandising, and point-of-sale systems. Develop and execute a comprehensive golf instruction program, providing lessons and clinics for members and guests of all skill levels. Conduct club fitting sessions and provide expert recommendations on equipment. Organize, promote, and execute various golf tournaments, events, and leagues. Oversee and manage the club's junior golf programs, fostering a positive environment for young players. Develop and implement strategies to increase rounds played and revenue generation through various golf activities. Supervise and train golf operations staff, including outside services and golf shop assistants. Ensure the highest standards of customer service are met by all golf operations personnel. Maintain strong relationships with members, addressing their needs and concerns proactively. Collaborate with the greens and grounds department to ensure optimal course conditions. Manage the golf budget and financial performance of the golf operations. Stay current with golf industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Qualifications: PGA (Professional Golfers' Association) certification or equivalent is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a golf professional role, with at least 2 years in a Head Professional or Assistant Professional capacity. Proven track record in teaching, tournament management, and golf shop operations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Proficiency in golf management software (e.g., Jonas, ForeTees) and POS systems. Demonstrated ability to drive revenue and manage budgets. Passion for the game of golf and commitment to promoting it. Knowledge of golf equipment and club fitting techniques. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
