About the Role
1st Assistant Golf Professional
The 1st Assistant Golf Professional assists the Head GolfProfessional in the management of day-to-day Golf Operations of thefacility. The position is responsible to supervise and manage totalgolf operations in the absence of the Head Golf Professional. Allduties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to thehighest level of customer service and total satisfaction of allcustomers and members.
This is a full time (generally March through early December eachyear), benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of $28.14 - $31.67 per hour.
Shift differential is available for eligible shifts, are stackable,and can amount to a higher wage per hour.
Weekend differential: An additional $1.00/hour
Evening differential: An additional $1.50/hour
Core Responsibilities
Assist in managing Ralph Myhre tournament operations and weeklyevents including planning, pre-tournament event sheets, posttournament billing, promotion, course set-up, preparation, scoring,prize distribution, and follow up.
Responsible for all facets of golf operations, including the supervision and training of outside services, starters, andrangers.
Conduct individual lessons and group clinics.
Assist the Head Golf Professional with training all golfoperations staff and assist with the administration of staff workschedules.
Provide club repair and club fitting services.
Assist in the inventory control of hard goods, special orders,ordering procedures, receiving procedures, displays, andsales.
Play golf with a variety of Members of all skilllevels.
Maintain a credible golf game and remain current on teachinginnovations.
Requirements
Customer Service oriented and be able to provide superiorcustomer service.
Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golffacility operations, and tournament operations.
Experience providing golf lessons to individuals of alllevels.
Strong organizational, planning, and prioritizationskills.
Self-motivated with desire to promote and market yourself andRalph Myhre.
Ability to utilize the resources of PGA player developmentprograms such as Get Golf Ready, GGA Sports Academy, and Tee itForward.
PGA membership or active pursuit through the PGA ProfessionalGolf Management (PGM) program

This job operates in a professional office environment androutinely uses standard office equipment. While performing theduties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand;walk; sit; kneel; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear.The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include closevision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheralvision, and ability to adjust focus.
Evening and weekend hours will be required.
