The Club's 18-hole championship golf course was originally designed by acclaimed architect Jay Morrish, Golf Course Architect of the Year in 1991, and is the only Northeastern course he designed. In 2025, the course was thoughtfully reimagined by Andrew Green, further elevating playability and conditioning. Beyond golf, the Club features year-round racquets and fitness amenities, a refreshed pool complex, diverse dining venues ranging from the Tavern at the Turn to elegant indoor and terrace settings, and versatile private event spaces. Position Overview The Lead Assistant Golf Professional is a key member of the Golf Management Team and plays a central role in the daily execution of the Club's golf operation. This position supports the Head Golf Professional in delivering an exceptional golf experience through outstanding service, strong operational oversight, and active member engagement. The Lead Assistant serves as a primary point of contact for members and guests, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations across the golf shop, practice facilities, tournaments, and golf services. This role also provides leadership to junior staff and outside services personnel while helping to uphold Bent Creek's service culture, traditions, and standards of professionalism. Experience Required PGA Member or PGA Associate in good standing preferred Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience at a private club or comparable facility Strong knowledge of the Rules of Golf and tournament operations Demonstrated teaching ability and passion for player development Experience with Golf Genius and tee sheet/POS systems (Jonas preferred) Merchandising and retail experience preferred Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with a private club environment High golf IQ and strong customer-service orientation Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays Essential Responsibilities Member Experience & Daily Operations Provide outstanding service to members and guests in all areas of the golf operation Maintain a visible presence on the golf course, practice facilities, and in the golf shop Assist with tee sheet management, starting, and pace-of-play oversight Enforce Club policies, etiquette, and Rules of Golf professionally Administer handicap procedures in accordance with USGA guidelines Tournament & Program Administration Plan and execute Club tournaments, leagues, and member events Coordinate course setup, scoring, prize distribution, and communications Support key programs including Men's, Women's, and Junior Golf Utilize Golf Genius and related systems for registration, scoring, and reporting Instruction & Player Development Provide private lessons, clinics, and group instruction Support junior golf initiatives, camps, and player development programs Promote participation in instructional programs and golf activities Golf Shop & Merchandising Assist with daily golf shop operations, merchandising, and inventory control Support purchasing, receiving, pricing, and display of merchandise Process sales transactions and maintain POS accuracy Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting retail environment Team Leadership & Operations Support Provide direction to golf shop staff and outside services personnel Assist with staff training, scheduling, and daily supervision Support management of golf car operations, practice facilities, and club storage Perform opening and closing procedures for the golf operation Coordinate effectively with other departments Club Engagement Build strong relationships through regular interaction with members Play golf with members in both social and competitive formats Represent the Club professionally at all times Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience Lesson income opportunities Medical, dental, life, and disability insurance Paid time off 401(k) participation 100% PGA dues and other professional development opportunities
