Golf Course Greenskeeper 1 at Northport Point

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Greenskeeper Level 1 to support the maintenance of the course and its overall appearance, including greens, fairways, bunkers, and tee boxes. Responsibilities include routine seasonal cleanup, landscaping, equipment operation, and assisting with special projects aimed at improving the course. This position works under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent and more experienced staff. The Greenskeeping team is highly motivated, and the successful candidate will receive first class support, training opportunities, and incentives.

Principal Duties

Carry out daily maintenance tasks as directed by the Golf Course Superintendent. Report course conditions, maintenance needs, and unusual issues to the Superintendent. Mow fairways, greens, tees, and rough according to established procedures. Rake and edge bunkers and maintain consistent sand conditions. Set tee markers, flags, and hole locations as directed. Trim and edge landscaped areas; maintain trees, shrubs, hedges, and other outdoor spaces as assigned. Repair divots, clear debris, and maintain paths and outdoor spaces. Assist with bunker renovations, seasonal cleanup, course improvements, and other projects. Track materials used and report supply needs. Operate mowers, powered equipment, and hand tools after appropriate training. Clean equipment, perform assigned routine maintenance, and report repair needs. Maintain service logs and report completed work. Follow safety procedures and keep equipment, materials, and work areas clean and organized. Work independently on assigned tasks and ask for direction when needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Self-motivated and able to work independently while following direction. Dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and willing to work as part of a team. Able to prioritize tasks and adapt when plans change. Communicates clearly with coworkers and other departments. Uses hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and efficiently. Follows safety procedures and applicable regulations.

Requirements

Previous greenkeeping and/or golf course operations experience preferred Valid Driver’s License; must be insurable. Background check required. Ability to operate maintenance equipment and lift 50 lbs. or more. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Work Environment

Ability to work on a variety of surfaces and in different outdoor environments for extended periods. Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for long periods while performing tasks such as mowing, edging, and trimming grass. Early morning, weekend, and holiday availability may be required as prearranged.
