Job Summary:
The Deer Creek Club is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Golf Course Grounds Worker to assist in maintaining and improving the overall condition of our golf course grounds. This position is responsible for performing various landscaping, mowing, and maintenance tasks to ensure a high-quality playing experience for golfers.
Key Responsibilities:
Mow greens, fairways, roughs, and tee boxes using specialized turf equipment.Perform landscaping tasks such as trimming, edging, and debris removal.Assist in irrigation maintenance, including operating and repairing sprinkler systems.Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides under supervision.Rake and maintain sand bunkers for consistent playability.Assist with seasonal tasks such as aeration, overseeding, and leaf removal.Maintain golf course equipment, ensuring proper cleaning and minor repairs.Follow safety protocols and operate equipment in a responsible manner.Support general grounds maintenance, including pathways, ponds, and wooded areas.Other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent.Qualifications:
Prior experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or golf course maintenance is preferred but not required.Ability to operate lawn mowers, trimmers, and other maintenance equipment.Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and turf care is a plus.Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
