Group Fitness Instructor - Light Barbell Resistance, Yoga or Tai Chi (Group Instructor Cert. req'd)

New Orleans Country Club is looking for a part-time Fitness Instructor to join the team! Established in 1914, New Orleans Country Club is a full-service, private country club offering golf, tennis, fitness, food and beverage (a la carte dining and banquets) and swimming to our members and their guests. Looking for an instructor to teach Light Barbell Resistance, Yoga or Tai Chi. In need of instructors for all 3 classes. Summary/Objective This employee provides safe and effective instruction of fitness classes. Develops safe, professional and comprehensive training programs to ensure members are satisfied with their programs and remain motivated to attain their personal fitness and wellness goals. Essential Functions Provides quality group fitness classes while promoting safety and wellness. Studies new fitness trends and provides up-to-date methods to members. Addresses member concerns and questions promptly. Maintains active certification. Alerts Director of Fitness in advance of scheduling conflicts. Monitors and instructs clients during training sessions by educating on correct form. Effectively discusses and explains different forms of exercise. Listens to members, answers questions, and engages in conversation before and after classes. Provides excellent customer service by promptly responding to member needs and concerns. Qualifications New Orleans Country Club will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States. Nationally recognized certification.
