Pine Valley Golf Club, consistently ranked among the top golf courses in the world, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Equipment Manager to join our Agronomy Department. This role is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimal performance of the club's turf equipment fleet, playing a key part in ensuring the golf course is presented at the highest standard each day.
Position Overview
The Assistant Equipment Manager works closely with the Head Equipment Manager, Director of Agronomy, and golf course maintenance staff to ensure all equipment is safe, well-maintained, and ready for daily operations. This role is perfect for a skilled professional with a passion for hands‑on work, organization, and ongoing learning in a championship golf setting. Responsibilities
• Assist in the maintenance, repair, and calibration of all golf course equipment, including mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, and specialty tools
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in machinery and equipment, using diagnostic tools, troubleshooting techniques, and repair manuals
• Maintain accurate service records, parts inventory, and equipment operating logs
• Assist in welding, fabrication, and mechanical setup for turf maintenance
• Collaborate with the Head Equipment Manager to prepare equipment for daily course operations and special projects
• Support the implementation of preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability
• Engage in safety training sessions and foster a culture of safety awareness and responsibility among maintenance staff and equipment operators
• Help maintain an organized, efficient, and clean equipment facility
