Responsibilities
Job Purpose
The Snack Bar Supervisor is responsible for overseeing operations, leading staff, and ensuring members and guests receive a memorable experience at the snack bar.
The Snack Bar Supervisors work closely with other members of the food and beverage team to ensure inventory is stocked and available for patrons. The Snack Bar Supervisors are comfortable leading a team and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Manage snack bar staff by training, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating performanceCreate employee schedules to ensure snack bar is staffed appropriatelyManage opening and closing of registers per shift. Prepare daily deposit informationCheck daily assignments and side work are completeRespond to escalated member/guest service issues in a prompt and effective mannerAssist members and guests in food and beverage selection by describing special offerings or menu changes, answering food preparation questions, recording member/guest selections, and upselling where possible. Relay orders to kitchen or prepare food directly, identifying any special requests and entering orders into registerDeliver orders to members and guests with appropriate accompaniments or garnishes. Ensure orders meet proper presentation and quality standards, package take-out orders as needed, and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beveragesProcess sales through the Point-of-Sale system (POS)Maintain attractive food displays and clean tables, counters, dishes, chairs, floors and equipment. Ensure sufficient levels of inventory in storage rooms and refrigeratorsProvide members and guests with efficient food service by maintaining attractively merchandised display foods, clean tables, counters, dishes, chairs, floors, and equipmentAdhere to all safety, sanitation, food preparation, food storage and alcohol beverage control policiesOrder snack bar supplies as neededReceive and sign for deliveries of food, beverages, and suppliesOther duties may be assigned by management
Qualifications
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in management, preferably in golf, hospitality, service industry requiredServe Safe certification required within 90 days of employmentMust be of legal age to sell and serve alcoholic beverages; applicable state card or certificate must be provided if required by state lawEffective communication skills, strong interpersonal and customer service skillsMust be able to work a flexible schedule, perform multiple tasks and prioritize efficientlyKnowledge of applicable liquor laws, procedures and policies, ability to determine signs of intoxicationKnowledge of inventory control and theft prevention processesAbility to operate calculator, cash register and/or point of sale system, hot dog machine, coffee and soda dispensers, deep fryer, meat slicer, broiler, barbecue grill or flat top grillBasic computer skills
Education
High school diploma or equivalent experience preferredMinimum of 2 years of progressive responsibility in food and beverage industry required
