Glenmoor Country Club is a premier private club located in beautiful Cherry Hills Village, just minutes from Belleview and I-25. Known for exceptional hospitality, vibrant member events, and high-quality cuisine, Glenmoor offers a unique culinary environment where team members can grow their skills while working alongside a passionate and professional kitchen team.
We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team. This role is ideal for a strong kitchen leader who takes pride in their craft, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about developing others while maintaining high culinary standards.
This position serves as the first assistant to the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef and plays a key role in overseeing daily kitchen operations across all dining outlets, banquets, and special events.
During our clubhouse renovation, this role will help lead operations out of a mobile kitchen trailer, requiring flexibility, adaptability, and a strong, team-first approach in a dynamic environment.
This role is intended to support long-term kitchen leadership, with potential for continued year-round employment based on business needs and performance.
What You'll Be Doing
Supervise and support kitchen staff by assisting with hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance managementLead daily food production across all outlets and events, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely executionWork alongside the culinary team during service to support operations and maintain standardsEnforce and maintain strict sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety standardsEnsure all recipes, portions, and presentation standards are consistently followedMonitor kitchen performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and workflowAssist with inventory, purchasing, and cost control to support financial goals and minimize wasteCollaborate with front-of-house leadership to ensure a seamless and high-quality member experienceMaintain kitchen equipment and ensure proper use, care, and ongoing maintenanceSupport menu execution and continuous improvement of food quality and consistencyRequirements
Schedule Expectations
This position is expected to work approximately 50 hours per week based on business needs. Evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.
What We're Looking For
Minimum of 3 years of line cook experience, with leadership or supervisory experience preferredStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a teamComprehensive understanding of food quality, presentation, consistency, and sanitation standardsKnowledge of food cost management, purchasing, inventory, and labor managementAbility to problem solve, make decisions, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrong understanding of kitchen operations, cooking techniques, and equipment useAbility to expedite service and step into any role in the kitchen as neededGlenmoor Country Club operates in a non-tipping environment.
Team members are compensated through hourly wages rather than gratuities.
