Basic Purpose of the Job:
The golf marshal\'s primary role is to ensure smooth and efficient play of the golf course by monitoring pace, enforcing rules, and aiding golfers. They act as a visible presence to maintain order, manage the flow of play and enhance the overall golfing experience. Learns and adheres to safety standards. Additionally, the Golf Course Marshal may perform will provide guests with friendly, prompt, and efficient service to always ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Supervision Received:
Work under the general direction and guidance of the Pro Shop Manager. Must be able to work under minimal supervision and exercise sound independent judgment.
Essential Functions:

Licensures & Certificates (must be active and current.):
•Must be 18 years of age or older
•Previous experience in a similar position preferred
•Knowledge of proper golf course etiquette and the game and play of golf
•Basic Computer skills preferredPhysical Requirements and Work Environment:

Physical Demands: Requires ability to stand and continuously move throughout the workday. Must be able
to bend, stoop, and climb. Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds, 75 pounds occasionally, lift overhead, push/pull
or move lighter objects. carrying, walking and hand/eye coordination. Vision for reading, handling cash and to
read computer screen. Frequent speech communication, hearing and listening to maintain communications
with employees and citizens.
Work Environment: Works equally in a clean, comfortable office environment and in an outdoor
environment with exposure to heat, sun, weather, cold and exposure to outside elements, noise,
dust and petroleum fuel products. Subject to many interruptions and pressure due to multiple calls
and inquiries. May require other activities during inclement weather.
