## The role in a nutshell
The Golf Course Spray Technician is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the golf course. You will help diagnose specific diseases and treat insects that affect critical areas of the course as well as identify and treat unwanted vegetation, using both preventative and curative methods.
On a typical day you'll perform hands-on turf care and related tasks. Examples of the work include:
- Operates powered equipment in mowing golf course putting greens, aprons, and tees.
- Water and fertilizes putting greens, tees, fairways, and roughs.
- Grades and prepares a soil plant bed, lays sod, plants, vegetative material, and seeds putting greens, tees, fairways, and roughs.
- Sometimes change cups and tee markers.
- Operates light equipment in hauling materials.
You should expect a practical, physical role where attention to turf health and safe equipment operation matter every day.
### About you
We are looking for someone who meets these specific qualifications:
- 2+ years' experience on a golf course maintenance team.
- Ability to obtain a pesticide applicators certificate.
- Must be able to lift boxes and bags that can be bulky and heavy.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
