SUMMARY
Must be able to attend service calls related to mechanical, carpentry, plumbing and electrical skills to diagnose and repair problems.
HOURS/DAYS
Hours and days fluctuate accordingly to the needs of the community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Must be able to comprehend and complete instructions contained in work orders.
Establish and maintain good rapport with employees and community.
Ability to work independently.
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
Ability to perform general and preventative maintenance tasks to include but not limited to landscaping, carpentry, painting, electrical, HVAC and plumbing.
Be available for emergency call outs on weekends and holidays.
Follow safety instructions.
Lift minimum of 25 lbs. on a continual basis.
Assist refuse department.
Climb ladders.
EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS USED
Power vehicles and mowers, electric and fuel power tools, hand tools, specialized golf course equipment, grinders, drills, welding equipment, safety equipment, chemicals, grease, oil, paints, solvents, radios, telephones, general office equipment and supplies and motor vehicles.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred: Minimum of 2-4 years experence in mechanical, carpentry, plumbing and electrical skills type work.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid State Driver’s License
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Required knowledge of procedures, safety rules, tools, methods and materials used for maintenance. Ability to operate all maintenance equipment. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

The position requires work performed mostly in outdoor environments. Exposure to variable and adverse weather conditions. Exposure to loud noises, vibrations, fumes, airborne particles, grease, oil and chemicals.
Active, physical work involving heavy lifting (+25) pounds, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching, walking long distances, driving and operating equipment for extended periods of time. Requires focus adjustment, depth perception, clear close and distant vision. Use of ear protection, eye protection and other safety equipment.
