F&B Director

ROLE OVERVIEW
CityGolf USA is seeking a dynamic, hands-on F&B Director to lead all food and beverage operations for our Nashville location. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring consistent presence during peak service periods, events, and weekends. This executive-level role owns the full guest experience across the restaurant, bar, and event spaces — from daily service and menu execution of private events. It is a High-volume environment (300–600 covers/day depending on season) Event sizes ranging from 20-person corporate outings to 300-person buyouts, and beyond.
The F&B Director will build and lead a high-performing culinary and service team, drive revenue and profitability across all F&B channels, and establish CityGolf USA Nashville as a destination known for world-class food, beverage, and hospitality — not just a place to golf. CityGolf is not a typical restaurant — it’s a multi-outlet venue.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Restaurant & Bar Operations
● Own day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar, ensuring consistent, high-quality food, beverage, and service across all dayparts.
● Set and uphold service standards, side work, and floor management routines that deliver a world-class guest experience.
● Partner with the Executive Chef / culinary lead on menu development, costing, and execution that reflects CityGolf's brand and elevates it above typical entertainment-venue dining.
● Develop and manage a distinctive bar and beverage program, including craft cocktails, beer, wine, and specialty offerings.
● Monitor guest feedback and service metrics, and act quickly to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
Events & Private Events
● Lead the Banquet Manager and their team to oversee F&B execution for all events, corporate outings, and private buyouts — from planning through flawless day-of delivery.
● Partner closely with Sales and the events team to scope F&B packages, pricing, and menus that maximize both guest experience and revenue.
● Lead event staffing, timelines, and vendor coordination to ensure every event runs seamlessly, regardless of size or complexity.
● Serve as the primary F&B point of contact for high-profile private events and VIP guests – executed in partnership along with Banquet Manager.
Financial & Business Performance
● Own the F&B P&L, including revenue targets, food and beverage cost, labor cost, and overall departmental profitability.
● Build and manage budgets, forecasts, and pricing strategy across restaurant, bar, and events.
● Analyze sales, cost, and labor data to identify opportunities and course-correct proactively.
● Negotiate and manage vendor and supplier relationships to optimize quality, cost, and reliability.
Team Leadership & Development
● Recruit, hire, train, and develop a full F&B team, including culinary, bar, and front-of-house management and staff.
● Build a strong bench of shift and department leads; create clear performance expectations, coaching routines, and growth paths.
● Foster a culture of hospitality, accountability, and pride in the product across the entire F&B team.
● Lead scheduling, labor planning, and staffing strategy to balance service quality with cost discipline.
Compliance, Safety & Standards
● Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations, including TABC/responsible beverage service requirements.
● Implement and audit food safety and quality-control standards across all outlets.
Cross-Functional Leadership
● Serve as a key member of the Nashville leadership team, aligning F&B strategy with broader venue, sales, and marketing goals.
● Partner with Marketing to support promotions, activations, and brand initiatives that drive F&B traffic and awareness.
● Represent CityGolf USA's F&B program in the local hospitality community and with prospective partners and vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
● 5+ years of progressive F&B leadership experience, including at least 2 years in a Director, General Manager, or equivalent senior leadership role.
● Proven track record running full-service restaurant and bar operations, including P&L ownership and cost control.
● Demonstrated success leading and scaling F&B teams in a high-volume, guest-facing environment.
● Strong experience managing events, private dining, or large group functions.
● Working knowledge of health, safety, and alcohol-service regulations (TABC or equivalent certification).
● Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to stay hands-on during peak service.
● Proficiency with POS, inventory, and scheduling systems, along with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred
● Experience in hospitality, entertainment, sports/entertainment venues, hotel F&B, or large-scale restaurant groups.
● Background opening or elevating a restaurant/bar concept, or leading F&B for a large-scale family entertainment or attraction-based venue.
● Existing relationships with Nashville-area vendors, purveyors, and hospitality talent.
● Culinary, hospitality management, or business degree, or equivalent industry experience.
