Bartender
Reports to: Food and Beverage Manager
In-Person | Full Time/Part Time – AM and PM Shifts, Weekends, Holidays
Pay Range: $8.00 per hour + tips
Position Summary
Riverton Country Club is seeking to expand our outstanding Food and Beverage team. Here at Riverton, we strive to provide excellent service for our members and guests while working in a team-oriented atmosphere.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Possesses strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with members and waitstaff.Assist in helping members/guests select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questionsPrepare alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages for members dining at the bar in addition to the service bar.Ability to work well with others and promote a positive team-oriented environmentWilling to "roll up one's sleeves" and jump in wherever needed.Strong understanding of a private Country Club culture and willingness to go above and beyond for our membersAbility to create drink specials.Flexibility in bartending A la carte service, banquet events, beverage cart shifts, and pool bar.Strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, wine, and overall food service. Must be willing to study and understand the menu fully.Assist the wait staff when bar service is slowBe able to build relationships with members and their guests.Be able to lift/carry traysPolish glass and silverwareQualifications & Skills
