As we continue to grow membership, public play, and community engagement, we are seeking a passionate Golf Professional to help shape the on-course experience for every player.
Position Overview
The Golf Professional is a key ambassador of the Jones Creek brand, responsible for elevating the member and guest experience through exceptional service, instruction, and golf operations support. This role blends teaching, player development, tournament coordination, and daily golf shop leadership. The ideal candidate is personable, polished, and committed to making golf enjoyable and accessible for players of all skill levels.
Key Responsibilities
Player Development & Instruction
Provide private lessons, group clinics, junior programs, and beginner-friendly instruction aligned with our mission of Quality Golf for All
Develop innovative programming for members, women, youth, seniors, and new golfers
Create a welcoming, confidence-building environment for players of all abilities
Assist with club fittings, equipment recommendations, and swing analysis
Golf Operations & Guest Experience
Serve as a visible, guest-facing leader on the course and in the golf shop
Manage front of house daily operations including tee sheet, pace-of-play monitoring, first-tee engagement, scheduling and employee development
Ensure all guests receive warm, professional service that reflects the Jones Creek brand
Own merchandising, inventory management, and retail sales
Tournament and Events
Support the planning and execution of member events, charity tournaments, corporate outings, league play, etc.
Create engaging formats and programming that appeal to a wide range of golfers
Coordinate with the golf operations team to ensure seamless event delivery
Community Engagement
Represent Jones Creek at local events, junior golf initiatives, and community programs
Build relationships with schools, youth organizations, and local partners to grow the game
Support content creation by capturing on-course moments, clinics, and player stories
Professional Standards
Maintain PGA membership in good standing (preferred but not required)
Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and sportsmanship
Serve as a role model for staff, members, and guests
Qualifications
PGA Class A Member preferred; equivalent experience considered
Strong teaching background with the ability to coach players of all skill levels
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and guest service skills
Experience in golf operations, tournament administration, and retail preferred
Passion for growing the game and creating an inclusive golf environment
Ability to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and peak-season hours
