As a Greenskeeper, you will be responsible for the landscaping and maintenance around the golf course. Ideal candidates have a passion for landscaping and nurturing our grounds. The knowledge of grounds maintenance is preferred. Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work extended hours during the golf and holiday season, as needed.
Our team has made a conscious effort to ensure strong protocols are in place to keep you and our patrons safe, so you can focus on the customer experience, landscape, and equipment maintenance.
Pay:
$17.13 per hour
Responsibilities:
Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facilityCourse setup, moving and setting tee balls, picking up garbage, and changing pins.Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees, and other areasWaters tees, greens, and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional waterRepairs the irrigation system, pipes, and irrigation heads as necessaryGrades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees, and fairwaysTrims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower bedsApplies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf courseOperating small equipment, such as weed trimmers, blowers, edgers, and push mowers.Aerifies greens, verticuts, and or mows tees and greensPerforms related duties as assigned by supervisor or managerEducation and Experience:Must possess a valid driver's licenseAbility to operate trucks and light motorized equipment.Working knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics related to an irrigation system, including automatic valves and controllers, and various types of pumps and pumping systemsKnowledge of agronomy, turf grass science, and the rules of golfAbility to work carefully and ensure co-workers are working safelyPossess leadership qualitiesMust have a willingness to learnMust be driven and possess a strong work ethicMust be dependableAbility to understand and follow oral instructions Working Conditions:Frequently uses handsRegularly stands, walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and crawlsFrequently lifts, moves, and carries up to 50 pounds; to push or pull up to 100 poundsRegularly exposed to hot and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, moving mechanical parts, compact spaces, hot attic temperatures, and outside weather conditionsNoise level is moderate Benefits for Qualified Associates: MedicalDentalVisionPTO401(k)Employee Assistance Program (EAP) About Troon Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ, Troon is the world's largest professional club management company, that specializes in services in golf, hospitality, and residential communities.
