The Country Club of Virginia is seeking a skilled Equipment Technician to ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently to support daily golf course operations. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, dependable, and have a strong mechanical aptitude. Experience with small engines, diesel equipment, or turf maintenance machinery is preferred but not required.
This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM, with some weekend work required (in season). Schedules may vary based on holidays or special events. The position pays $28 to $32/hour depending upon experience, with full benefits available, paid vacation, and uniforms provided.
Key Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
• Service all golf course maintenance equipment, transportation vehicles, and golf carts according to manufacturers' recommendations Inspect equipment for operating deficiencie
• Repair and adjust equipment
• Perform general overhaul and other preventive maintenance on all equipment, including 2- and 4-cycle, diesel, electric, and hybrid engine
• Maintain repair records on all equipment
• Assist in training line employees on pre-operation checks, cleaning, and daily servicing of equipment
• Sharpen reel and rotary mowers
• Maintain safety procedures for using equipment
• Attend annual service schools
Essential Skills and Experience:
• Ability to diagnose and repair motorized equipment
• Experience repairing golf course maintenance equipment is preferred but not required
• Welding experience preferred
• Excellent verbal communication skills, ability to work well with others
• Ability to adapt to change and frequently reprioritize tasks
• Must maintain and work out of your own basic tool chest
• Must be available to work holidays, weekends, and overtime during the golf season as needed
