Agronomy Manager – Commercial Landscape Texscape Services | Dallas-Fort Worth, TX Texscape Services is looking for a hands-on Agronomy Manager to own our fertility and weed-control program across our commercial portfolio. This is a working manager role: you'll build routes, run the spray program, diagnose turf and ornamental problems, and turn what you see on property into enhancement sales. If you get excited about soil tests, pre-emergent timing, and nailing a calibration, we want to talk to you. What You'll Do • Program & Scheduling: Build and manage annual agronomic calendars and routes: fertilization, pre-emergent, post-emergent, insect/disease apps • Field Agronomy: Scout properties, diagnose turf/ornamental issues (weeds, disease, insects, irrigation, soil) • Communication: Report agronomic issues to Area Managers with clear recommendations and photos • Enhancement Sales: Identify upsell opportunities, price proposals, and route them to the correct Area Manager • Equipment: Calibrate spray rigs, backpacks, and spreaders, and verify application accuracy • Chemical Math: Calculate mix rates, tank loads, product needs, and inventory ordering • Compliance: Complete TDA application records, maintain SDS/labels, and ensure licensing and technician supervision compliance • Team: Train and supervise spray techs on safety, calibration, and application quality You Might Be Our Person If… • You've pulled over to look at someone else's lawn and diagnosed it from the truck • You read product labels for fun and have opinions about the fine print • You get excited about soil test results • You have a favorite nozzle, and you can explain why • You keep your own turf test plot at home • You can tell dallisgrass from crabgrass at 20 feet • You constantly check soil temps to time your pre-emergent Compensation & Benefits • $70,000 – $80,000 per year, depending on experience • Company truck • Company phone • Laptop • Health insurance • 401(k) with company match • Two weeks paid time off • CEU reimbursement How to Apply Send your resume and a short note telling us your go-to pre-emergent program for North Texas turf. Requirements • TDA Commercial Applicator License, Category 3A (Ornamental & Turf), or ability to obtain within 90 days • 3+ years of turf/ornamental chemical application experience (commercial, golf, or sod) • Strong working knowledge of warm-season turf (Bermuda, St. Augustine, Zoysia) and North Texas weed/pest pressures • Proficient in calibration and application math • Able to estimate and price enhancement work • Valid driver's license; clean MVR Preferred • Degree or coursework in turfgrass science, agronomy, horticulture, or plant/soil science • Golf course or sports turf background • Bilingual English/Spanish
