Join our team as an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent/Spray Technician and play a vital role in maintaining the condition of Occoneechee Golf Club. Responsibilities
Assist in managing daily landscape maintenance tasks to keep the golf course in excellent condition, including mowing, edging, and trimming using hand tools and power tools.
Support irrigation system operations by inspecting, troubleshooting, and performing routine adjustments to ensure proper watering schedules.
Help with pest control and fertilization programs by applying treatments safely and accurately as directed.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping tools to ensure optimal performance.
Contribute to turf health by monitoring soil conditions, aerating greens, and assisting with overseeding projects.
Support turf health in handling chemical applications while following safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Collaborate with the team on landscape projects or renovating existing areas to enhance course aesthetics.
Requirements
Experience in safely applying Turf Fertilizers and Pesticides
General Knowledge of Spray and Granular Turf Health Application Systems, calibration, and application techniques
Basic knowledge of irrigation systems, landscaping techniques, and lawn care practices.
Experience or interest in horticulture, gardening, or turfgrass management is preferred.
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and turf maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
Strong work ethic with a proactive attitude toward maintenance tasks and teamwork.
Good physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
Excellent attention to detail to ensure high standards of course presentation.
Valid driver’s license; previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is required. Experience in a Golf setting is a plus. Pay: $38,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
