Golf Shop Lead (Seasonal)

Overview Richmond County Country Club is proud to be the only private golf course and country club in New York City. Located in Staten Island, our 18-hole championship golf course features updated amenities and superior facilities for both the most avid golfers and social members of the club. Richmond County is seeking a seasonal Golf Shop Lead to serve as a consistent, professional presence in our golf shop and to support the professional golf staff throughout the season. Position Details • Employment Type: Seasonal, Hourly • Season: Approximately 9 months (March-December) • Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), weekends required; holidays and limited flexible hours may be required for events • Pay Range: $40,000-50,000 • Overtime: Eligible in accordance with New York State law • Bonus: Seasonal performance-based bonuses may be available Key Responsibilities • Serve as a primary point of contact in the golf shop, delivering exceptional customer service to members and guests • Assist with golf shop merchandising, displays, inventory receiving, and special orders • Support daily golf operations including check-ins, phone coverage, and coordination with professional staff • Assist with tournament and event operations as needed • Utilize golf shop and operations systems (Jonas POS preferred; Golf Genius experience a plus) • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional golf shop environment Qualifications • Entry-level to 1–3 years of experience in golf, retail, hospitality, or club operations • Basic golf knowledge required • Strong customer service and communication skills • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team • Experience with POS systems preferred • Social media familiarity a plus • PGA/PGM students encouraged to apply To apply please contact Casey Shermick caseys@richmondcountycc.org
