Position Overview
The Country Club at Castle Pines is seeking experienced, fine-dining servers to join our hospitality team. Servers generally make $30 to $45 / hour (This includes $12.55/hour salary + tips earned) and work between 20-40 hours per week. Full time (30+ hours per week) employees also take part in a generous benefits package which includes great medical/dental/vision plans and up to four (3) weeks of paid time off per year. About The Club
The Country Club at Castle Pines is a private club that is perched at nearly 7,000 feet and boasts an exceptional Colorado country club lifestyle just minutes south of Denver. We are the premier private country club in the region located inside The Village at Castle Pines community. Our Signature Jack Nicklaus golf course weaves seamlessly into the Rocky Mountain landscape and provides members an unmatched golf experience, complete with our course, a 20-acre golf practice facility, and The Crags one acre putting course amidst incredible wildlife, rugged terrain, and breathtaking mountain views.
The primary function of our waitstaff is to create a personable experience and exceptional service for our members while also supporting fellow staff for a positive work environment.
Essential Duties
• Adheres to all uniform, grooming & hygiene standards and maintains professional appearance at all times including a welcoming smile.
• Arrives to work in a timely manner.
• Recognizes members and guests by name, creating a professional relationship in a respectful, hospitable fashion.
• Must possess a good work ethic by being effective and efficient when it comes to multitasking, flexibility, and working under pressure. Follow the steps of service accordingly.
• Complying with all food and beverage rules and regulations. Protects establishment and members by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Communicate properly and respectfully to members, guests, co-workers and management for a successful customer service.
• Responsible for checking I.Ds for guests who may be underage.
• Possess strong menu knowledge, weekly specials, identifying member's specific dietary, food allergy and requests.
• Help members select food and beverages through extensive menu knowledge; offering cocktails and appetizers, suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specials, identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions and identifying members' special dietary needs along with special requests. Accuracy in working with POS system.
• Confidence in knowledge and memorization of table numbers.
• Monitoring alcohol consumption of members and guests to keep a safe environment for everyone.
• Perform and complete shift checklist following rules, sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Report to Lead Staff before leaving.
Education and Experience Requirement
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have previous server experience or other F&B related training.
• Banquet and fine dining experience preferred.
• T.I.P.S and Serve Safe certified preferred.
Working Environment/Physical Demands
The physical demands of this position are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull objects weighing up to 40lbs or heavier with assistance and use of proper equipment.
• Must be accustom to walking, standing while staying focused and alert for long period of time in addition to some kneeling, stooping, crouching or crawling when necessary.
• Must be comfortable carrying serving trays with food and beverage.
• Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure.
• Will work in both indoor and outdoor environments with loud to moderate noise level, moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme weather temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, and smoke.
• Must engage in an extended conversation with membership.
