The Food & Beverage Director is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations within an organization, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, profitability, and operational efficiency. This role manages staff, budgets, menus, and service standards across restaurants, bars, catering, and events.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage all F&B operations (restaurants, bars, banquets, catering)Develop and maintain high-quality service and hospitality standardsOversee menu planning in collaboration with chefsMonitor food quality, presentation, and consistencyControl costs (food, beverage, labor) and maximize profitabilityCreate and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reportsEnsure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulationsRecruit, train, and develop F&B staff and managersManage vendor relationships and negotiate contractsAnalyze customer feedback and implement improvementsPlan and execute events, promotions, and special programsRequirements
5–10+ years of F&B or hospitality management experienceStrong leadership and team management skillsFinancial acumen (P&L, budgeting, cost control)Knowledge of food safety and alcohol service regulationsExcellent communication and customer service skillsLeadership & team developmentOperational efficiencyFinancial managementCustomer experience focusProblem-solving & decision-makingVendor and inventory managementNice-to-haves
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field (preferred)
