Lead Mechanic

Glenview Golf Course , located in Cincinnati, OH , is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Lead Mechanic ! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon , you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. Compensation: $42.00 per hour Summary: This position includes all the mechanics duties as well as consulting, leading, assisting and mentoring the four other mechanics at golf courses within our portfolio. A company vehicle will be provided at the site for travel, when travel to the other properties is necessary. Responsibilities: - Maintains a preventive maintenance program on all equipment, purchases repair parts and replacement supplies. Places orders for parts and supplies as needed for equipment or service. - Inspects, adjusts, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical defects in many types of golf course maintenance equipment. - Performs mower grinding and sharpening, general overhaul of motors and reels, and installs and adjusts braking systems. - Performs machining or welding work in making fittings used in the repair of maintenance equipment. - Manages expenses in the maintenance of the equipment fleet relating to parts purchases, inventory levels, service work, fuel inventories, and related items. - Ensures accurate records are kept of preventive maintenance, repairs made, and parts ordered. - Maintains an up-to-date working knowledge of light and heavy construction and maintenance equipment and automotive apparatus. Maintains skills in the use of a wide variety of equipment repair tools and in the making of various types of mechanical repairs. - Diagnoses mechanical troubles and schedules appropriate preventive maintenance work. - Organizes and maintains a clean and safe maintenance area.
