Merchandiser

<p>Responsible for management and oversight of the overall retail operation of the Golf Shop, with the goal of providing a memorable customer service experience. Job functions include but are not limited to soft goods merchandising, ordering, promotion, inventory management, customer relations<br />and personal management and training.</p><p><br />Job Knowledge and Expectations:<br />• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills<br />• Competence to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system<br />• Proven ability to multi-task and manage a retail business<br />• Experience supervising and training salespersons<br />• Experience with Inventory Management<br />• Maintains an attractive and orderly appearance in and around the golf shop<br />• Ability to Merchandise the Golf Shop on a regular basis<br />• Develops strategies to ensure customer satisfaction and maximize business performance<br />Job Tasks<br />• Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf and golf merchandising operations<br />• Responsible for all soft goods merchandising and ordering<br />• Assists Golf Professional with strategies and reports<br />• Monitors the receiving and checking-in of all merchandise<br />• Maintains pricing and all inventory SKU controls for all items in inventory<br />• Supervises and maintains the POS System<br />• Develops and maintains golf shop displays, coordinating shop changeovers<br />• Assists customers with merchandise selections<br />• Oversees and handles procedures for special orders and returns.<br />• Works with staff to select and purchase products for tournaments, events and staff uniforms<br />• Answering the phone and booking lessons and rounds of golf<br />• Completes other tasks as assigned by Golf Professional<br />• Able to meet and perform the physical requirements required<br />• Continuous standing and walking</p><p> </p>
