This is a comprehensive, on-site role responsible for managing the pro shop, golf instruction, tournament operations, and member services. Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of the golf shop, including inventory control, merchandising, and sales. Develop and implement a comprehensive schedule of golf tournaments, events, and social activities for members and guests. Provide high-quality golf instruction, including individual lessons, clinics, and junior programs, tailored to all skill levels. Oversee club fitting services, utilizing advanced technology to provide personalized recommendations. Manage player development programs and initiatives to grow the game of golf. Ensure exceptional service standards are met for all members and guests interacting with the golf operations. Supervise and train golf operations staff, including assistants and shop attendants. Manage the golf course tee sheet and ensure efficient pace of play. Collaborate with course maintenance staff to ensure the course is presented in pristine condition. Develop and manage the golf operations budget, controlling expenses and maximizing revenue. Maintain strong relationships with members, addressing their needs and fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Stay current with the latest trends in golf instruction, equipment, and club management. Promote club membership and golf activities to attract new clientele. Ensure adherence to all club policies and procedures. Qualifications: PGA Professional certification is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Assistant or Head Golf Professional. Demonstrated expertise in golf instruction, club fitting, and course management. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Strong understanding of golf shop operations, inventory management, and merchandising. Experience in planning and executing successful golf tournaments and events. Proficiency with golf management software (e.g., Jonas, ForeTees) and POS systems. Bachelor's degree in Golf Management, Business, or a related field is preferred. A passion for the game of golf and a commitment to providing exceptional experiences. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
