About the Role
THE POSITION We're looking for a knowledgeable, professional, and engaging Golf Instructor who is passionate about helping members improve their game while delivering an exceptional club experience. This role combines high-quality golf instruction with a strong commitment to member service, simulator operations, safety, and maintaining a welcoming and professional golf environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct private, semi-private, and small-group golf instruction sessions for members of all skill levels inside TPC's golf simulator. Assess swing mechanics, ball flight, short game, and course strategy, providing safe and effective instruction tailored to individual goals. Utilize TrackMan and simulator technology to analyze performance data and communicate feedback clearly. Design personalized improvement plans and practice recommendations. Arrive early to inspect simulator equipment, hitting bay, and technology for safety and functionality. Assist members with simulator setup, troubleshooting, and general operation as needed. Support golf events, leagues, tournaments, and specialty clinics. Promote golf programming to increase member engagement and participation. Enforce youth participation policies and all club rules and procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional golf instruction space. Communicate member feedback, equipment concerns, and programming ideas to the Wellness Director. Assist with Fitness Desk coverage or club support as needed. Perform all other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalency; some college preferred. 2+ years of golf instruction experience in a private club, academy, or commercial golf setting. PGA Associate or PGA Professional certification preferred. Demonstrated experience in golf instruction or competitive golf background. Strong understanding of swing mechanics and modern golf instruction principles. Familiarity with TrackMan launch monitor technology. Current CPR/First-Aid/AED Certification (or ability to obtain). Preferred Experience, Competencies and Education Experience working with junior golfers, adult beginners, competitive youth athletes, and aging populations. Background in golf fitness or performance training integration. Strong communication and motivational skills. Ability to work independently. Must be punctual, reliable, and professional in appearance and demeanor. Basic computer skills including MS Office Suite, ClubSoft, and simulator software platforms. Compensation 45% - 65% Commission (DOE) on all instruction sessions serviced. $20 an hour rate for any preapproved administrative time.
