Over the past sixty years, MVCC has matured into one of the premier golf courses in the region, offering a picturesque 18-hole championship layout that presents an engaging challenge throughout the year to golfers of all skill levels. Secure in the gates of a residential neighborhood, we boast a welcoming community of people with an outstanding schedule of golf, social, corporate and banquet events.</p><p> </p><p>MVCC played host to the Safeco Classic for the LPGA from 1982-1999, host for the PNWPGA Washington Open Invitational (Washington State Open) numerous times, specifically in 1972, 1976, 2002, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2009 and consecutively from 2013-2024. Meridian Valley CC underwent a significant collaborative renovation with leadership and Dan Hixson, PGA (designer of Wine Valley, Bandon Crossings, Silvies Valley Ranch, and lead restorations on Portland GC and many others).</p><p><i><b><strong> </strong></b></i></p><p><i><b><strong>The Position | </strong></b></i><b><strong>Senior Assistant Golf Professional</strong></b></p><p>Are you passionate about delivering exceptional golf experiences and elevating club operations? We are seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Senior Assistant Golf Professional to join our team and play a leading role for it and the Club as a whole. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, member-focused environment and is eager to make a meaningful impact across all facets of our golf operation.</p><p><b><strong> </strong></b></p><p><b><strong>Highlights for the role: </strong></b>MVCC needs a Senior Assistant Golf Professional with a capacity to play a pivotal role in organizing, planning and executing member-centric events (eg. tournaments of various size/duration), ensuring each occasion is memorable and flawlessly run. Further, we need expertise in being a model/leader for golf shop operations (under the guidance of our Director of Golf & Athletics), including merchandising and inventory management, where a keen eye for detail and understanding of member preferences will help drive retail success.</p><p> </p><p>The Senior Assistant will play a proactive leadership role in fostering connection, enhancing member engagement, and elevating overall enjoyment across all areas where our golf operations team influences the member experience. A strong background in the PGA Associate pathway—either recently completed or nearing completion—will be essential for success in this role. This expertise will not only support the development of our current team but also provide valuable guidance for future recruits.</p><p> </p><p>Finally, and of equal importance, the Senior Assistant will demonstrate a strong commitment to junior golf by taking a leading role in overseeing, planning, and delivering programs such as PGA Junior League, Operation 36, and other competitive junior initiatives. This individual will help nurture the next generation of golfers with enthusiasm and professionalism. In addition, they will provide high-quality 1:1 coaching, design and deliver engaging social clinics for adult players, and create welcoming opportunities that foster both skill development and camaraderie among our members.</p><p><b><strong> </strong></b></p><p><b><strong>Professionalism & Representation:</strong></b></p><p>As a Senior Assistant Golf Professional, you will model the highest standards of professionalism, both on and off the course.
