The Golf Course Maintenance Worker position is part-time (no benefits) with a preferred hiring rate of $14.93 per hour. The ideal candidate for this position will have a desire to work outside and perform daily maintenance of the award-winning Heritage Oaks Golf Course and grounds. This position has work available each year from approximately March through December 1. As a Golf Course Maintenance Worker, you'll be responsible for:Mowing, string trimming, and tree trimming;Performing light construction;Grooming and maintaining sand bunkers;Mowing the golf course, as needed, to specifications by operating and using hand and power mowing equipment;Changing cups on putting greens;Removing debris and manually excavating soil;Collecting trash;Preparing the golf course for daily play and tournaments;Loading and unloading supplies and landscape material.A detailed list of the ideal candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities is available in the Parks Maintenance Worker class specification. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of the tenth grade.
