About Valdosta Country Club
Valdosta, GA | The Valdosta Country Club is a private, member-owned club, offering exceptional golf, tennis, swimming, fitness, dining, and events. The VCC has been an integral part of the community for over 100 years and prides itself on outstanding service in a welcoming atmosphere. Located in the heart of our city, the VCC is just minutes from most neighborhoods. We invite you to explore all the amenities, athletic programs, social events, and Southern hospitality that Valdosta Country Club has to offer!
Our HistoryThe Valdosta Country Club was organized in 1917, with Abial Winn as the first president. The original clubhouse burned in 1958, and the new clubhouse opened in December 1959. In 1968, 238 acres of the Civil War property Cherokee Plantation were acquired for future expansion. In 1977, Joe Lee designed the Plantation and Bottom Nines as well as the residential development.
In October of 1987, the construction of the Bellemeade Nine was started with Bobby Weed as the architect and completed on July 4, 1988. On July 4, 1990, our beautifully appointed and designed sports complex and Plantation Grill opened.
In 2015, the entire Clubhouse—including the Ballroom, Dining Room, Lounge, Lobby, Pro Shop, Fitness Center, and Locker Rooms—was completely renovated to provide a fresh look with modern finishes and improved amenities. In 2016, the Tennis Courts were refinished with beautiful and classic Har-Tru clay. The Fitness Center was upgraded in 2021 with all-new cardio equipment, complete with cable TV and virtual-ride bikes.
In 2022, the Club broke ground on a course renovation led by Bill Bergin. The 27-hole course was converted into a championship 18-hole course and a 6-hole short course.
The Valdosta Country Club celebrated 100 years in 2017, and we look forward to many, many more!
