About the Role
<strong>Overview:</strong><br />The Learning Center at Compass Pointe specializes in golf instruction. Since its launch in March of 2019, it has risen fast and become an award-winning player development program, and we are now recognized as a Top 50 Operation 36 Master location. We are seeking a passionate and dynamic coach to fill this role; you will grow the game of golf to our members and guests through providing a positive learning experience and actively market and promote our brand. The individual will need to be personable, outgoing, driven and enjoy the challenge of being a Learning Center team leader.<br /><br /><strong>Reporting Structure:</strong> The Teaching Professional reports to the Director of Instruction and General Manager.
Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
<br /><strong>Essential Requirements:</strong>
<ul>
<li>
Experienced golf instructor 3+ years coaching
</li>
<li>
High school graduate
</li>
<li>
Affiliated with either LPGA or PGA programs preferred.
</li>
<li>
Strong interpersonal skills, combined with hard work ethic.
</li>
<li>
Able to stand and lift outdoors for long periods of time.
</li>
<li>
Above average time management/ has initiative and multi-tasking skills.
</li>
<li>
Promote and market Learning Center programming to build strong social media footprint.
</li>
</ul>
<strong>Responsibilities:</strong>
<ul>
<li>To assist director of Instruction with coach development, recruiting processes for coaches and admin staff as needed. Participate in team building events on and away from golf course</li>
<li>Teach group lessons to adults and juniors as assigned</li>
<li>Custom fit clubs to all levels of students</li>
<li>Self-motivated, driven to manage and build your private lesson portfolio</li>
<li>Work on own initiative to build up client base for coaching by implementing structured supervised practice sessions, walking the range, and playing with students’ members and guests</li>
<li>Assist the DOI with operations management where needed</li>
<li>Experienced computer skills, Outlook, word, Excel, can send effective clear email communications</li>
<li>Assist DOI with leadership of councilors and part-time coaches to accomplish various tasks</li>
<li>To contribute to the preparation of coaching development plans, sales and marketing plans and operational strategies where necessary</li>
<li>Complete various tracking and record keeping paperwork related to Learning Center sales</li>
<li>Track and work with your students build retention programs, email, and phone follow ups, maintain a robust tracking database of your students</li>
<li>To maintain a clean and presentable office and teaching space.</li>
<li>Coaching and club fitting equipment is accessible, available, and accounted for</li>
<li>Participate in the ongoing sales and marketing promotions</li>
<li>Attend continuing education opportunities and maintain playing standards</li>
<li>Assist in maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring that Health and Safety procedures comply with up-to-date state legislation, and Anne Arundel County guidelines</li>
<li>Clearly communicated, effectively monitored, and regularly reviewed</li>
<li>Other duties and responsibilities as assigned, off season may include other department time such as golf shop or outside services when applicable.</li>
<li>Attend offsite promotional events to promote Academy programs and private lessons, such as health fairs and corporate events.</li>
