Job Summary/Basic Function
The Head Men's Golf Coach is responsible for the overall leadership, administration, and success of the intercollegiate men's golf program. This part-time position carries the full responsibilities of a head coaching role, including program development, recruiting, academic oversight, compliance, fundraising, and community engagement. The Head Coach is expected to operate the program in alignment with institutional, conference, and NCAA regulations while fostering a culture of competitive excellence, integrity, and student-athlete development.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)
• Collegiate coaching experience or competitive playing experience
• Strong recruiting, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous head coaching experience
• Demonstrated success in recruiting and program development
• Experience with fundraising or alumni engagement
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations

Job Duties
Description of Job Duties
Program Leadership & Administration
• Provide vision, leadership, and strategic direction for the men's golf program
• Organize and conduct all practices, competitions, and team activities
• Develop competitive schedules in coordination with the Athletics Department
• Monitor and manage the program budget responsibly
• Maintain inventory and oversight of equipment and apparel
Recruiting
• Identify, evaluate, and recruit prospective student-athletes
• Maintain consistent communication with prospects, families, and high school/club coaches
• Coordinate official and unofficial campus visits
Student-Athlete Development
• Promote academic achievement and monitor academic progress of student-athletes
• Foster leadership, sportsmanship, and personal growth
• Support retention and degree completion
Compliance
• Maintain thorough knowledge of NCAA, conference, and institutional rules
• Ensure program compliance in all areas including recruiting, eligibility, and financial aid
• Complete required compliance documentation and reporting in a timely manner
Fundraising & External Engagement
• Assist with fundraising initiatives to support program enhancements
• Cultivate alumni and donor relationships
• Participate in departmental and institutional advancement events
• Support community engagement efforts and represent the program positively
Administrative & Departmental Responsibilities
• Attend departmental meetings and required trainings
• Collaborate with athletic training, strength and conditioning, academic support, and compliance staff
• Support departmental initiatives and game-day operations as assigned
