Are you passionate about golf course maintenance and ready to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 2nd Assistant Superintendent to support our Agronomy Team in maintaining our beautiful golf courses and club grounds.
Position Overview:
As the 2nd Assistant Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in overseeing chemical and fertilizer applications, working closely with the Assistant Superintendent and under the direction of the Superintendent and Director of Grounds. This position offers the opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities and make impactful decisions in the absence of other managers.
Key Responsibilities:
Chemical and Fertilizer Applications: Safely apply and maintain accurate records of chemicals and fertilizers. Supervision and Training: Lead and train crew members, ensuring a safe and collaborative work environment. Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain heavy equipment, conducting routine inspections and maintenance. Irrigation Management: Troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution. Project Management: Assist in planning and executing small maintenance projects. Why Join Us?

Requirements: Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of chemical application experience. At least 3 years of progressive golf course experience. Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook). Pesticide Applicator’s License (or ability to obtain within 90 days). Ability to accurately calibrate application equipment. Working Conditions:
Ability to work 40+ hours per week outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
