Description:
Works directly under the Golf Professional and assists with supervision in the operation of the Golf Course and facility golf programs. Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as well as Holidays.
Duties:
Essential Functions-Golf
• Assists with supervision of operations and maintenance of Course.
• Maintains full accounting records of total golf operation.
• Conducts themselves according to standards established by PGA for golf professionals.
• Assists with golf instruction for private lessons and group lessons, including men's, ladies, and junior golf clinics.
• Responsible for all aspects of Junior Golf League.
• Assists with public relations.
• Assists in preparation of budgets, long-range goals, and capital improvements.
• Supervises, schedules, and trains personnel.
• Supervises starting of all players, including collection of appropriate green and range fees.
• Oversees community recreation golf program.
• Oversees operation of golf tournaments.
• Oversees social media postings, updates, and tracking.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college is preferred.
• Certification from Professional Golfers Association, either as a member or associate, is preferred.
• Must pass a background check and drug test as a condition of employment.
• Experience in keeping financial records and in teaching golf is preferred.
• Must possess a valid Utah Driver's License and have an acceptable driving record.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to work well with public. Ability to work with financial records and planning. Knowledge and ability to teach golf. Thorough knowledge of PGA rules and regulations. Must maintain a dress code and personal conduct at all times so as not to bring discredit upon Hobble Creek Golf Course and the profession. Must have the ability to work well with the public, and be able to supervise and control large groups of people.
Physical Demands:
Must be physically fit enough to walk long distances, work outside in all types of weather, lift 100 lbs., bend, stoop, crawl, and sit.
