The Department of Enterprise Services , Golf Courses Division , is hiring for a Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor to lead their team at the Ewa Villages Golf Course!
What You'll Do
Supervise the work associated with the operation and maintenance of the automatic irrigation and sprinkler system involving a computer based central control program requiring strong computer literacy skills.Supervise the operation of heavy equipment, trucks, mowers, and other miscellaneous machinery needed for continuous and steady flow of construction jobs.Maintain daily work roster, schedules and work assignments.Supervise the overhauling, repairing and maintenance of motorized equipment and other golf course maintenance equipment.Supervise activities involved in turf growth, trees and landscape maintenance requiring the proper use of fertilizers and other chemicals necessary in golf course maintenance.
Special Working Conditions
May be required to work weekends and holidays. Work schedule subject to change based on job requirements. Required to attend meetings, seminars, and workshops off-site. Required to respond to maintenance emergencies from home after normal working hours.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
At time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
Experience Requirement
Experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality to show competence in the care and maintenance of golf course greens, fairways, and related landscaped areas.
Such training and/or experience must have demonstrated the knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment used in developing and maintaining tees, greens, and fairways on a golf course; special grasses used on golf courses; turf diseases and methods of eradication and control; and proper and timely use of fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and other chemicals used in the care of greens and fairways.
License/Certificate Requirement
Possession of an appropriate valid driver's license, as required.
For The Current Vacancy, The Following Licenses/certifications Are Required
Possession of a valid automobile (Type 3) driver's license, prior to appointment. Possession of a valid driver's license (Type 4), prior to completion of probation. Possession of a valid Commercial Applicator of Restricted Pesticides Certificate (Category 3), prior to completion of probation.
