<p>Canoa Ranch Golf Club is a great example of how the Southwestern desert can be transformed into a golfer’s paradise without destroying the beauty of the surrounding native land. Designed by Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley, Canoa Ranch boasts dramatic elevation changes, strategic bunkering and spectacular views of nearby Elephant Head mountain.</p>

<p>Torres Blancas Golf Club, is nestled in the Santa Cruz River Valley at the foot of the beautiful Santa Rita Mountains. Torres Blancas offers a championship course designed by Lee Trevino, Ocampo and Fernandez. Torres Blancas meanders through charming neighborhoods and breathtaking desert scenery.</p>

<p><strong>BASIC FUNCTION:</strong> Primary responsibility is to provide leadership and direction to all employees in all departments. Focus is to be directed toward quality, consistency, and service excellence across all areas of operation. Financial responsibility involves budgeting, implementing, and supervising Profit and Loss for all facets of the entire facility.</p>

<p>The General Manager will be responsible for the departments of the operation which include Golf Operations, Administrative & General, Agronomy, Sales & Marketing and Food & Beverage.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>This position requires a results-driven leader with a strong background in club management and experience overseeing multi-department recreational facilities.</p>
<p> </p>
<h1>QUALIFICATIONS:</h1>
<ul>
<li>Understanding of basic accounting principles</li>
<li>Continuation of Educational / Professional Seminars</li>
<li>Class-A PGA Certification or equivalent preferred</li>
<li>Knowledgeable in all areas of facility operations</li>
<li>Skilled in interpersonal dynamics and leadership communication</li>
<li>Understanding of and ability to implement marketing concepts and strategies</li>
<li>Knowledge and ability to utilize a variety of operating systems</li>
<li>Strong organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills</li>
</ul>

<h1>WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:</h1>
<ul>
<li>Minimum 3 years’ direct management experience across multiple operational areas</li>
<li>Minimum 5 years’ experience in golf or club management</li>
<li>Multi-course or multi-facility management experience a plus</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Sports/Recreation Management, or related field preferred</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge of club operations, member relations, and hospitality industry best practices</li>
</ul>

<h1>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</h1>
<ol>
<li>Responsible for the complete financial management and planning of operations including golf & food & beverage. These aspects include budgeting daily and monthly profit and loss management and complete administration of all departments.</li>
<li>Prepare on-going special reports to analyze and monitor facility performance across all departments. Such as: Daily Business Recap, Monthly Business Report, all golf statistics and any additional report required to completely analyze the facility performance.</li>
<li>Provides consistent, visible leadership to all areas of the facility, fostering collaboration between departments.</li>
<li>Establishes service goals and objectives aligned with the Executive Team’s vision, emphasizing member satisfaction and operational excellence.</li>
<li>Oversee marketing, membership growth, and community engagement strategies for club environment.</li>
<li>Implements all sales and marketing plans and strategies for facility.</li>
<li>Ensures the delivery of exceptional guest and member experience through staff training, communication, and performance standards.</li>
<li>Implements and maintains operating procedures that reflect the highest standards of safety, quality, and service in all departments.</li>
<li>Recruits, mentors, and developing department heads and key staff to ensure effective succession planning.</li>
<li>Establishes, maintains and supervises all department heads and ensures established professional criteria and standards.</li>
<li>Promotes a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and accountability consistent with club service expectations. Encourages suggestions and opinions, open-door policy, strong employee relations and excellent customer service satisfaction.</li>
<li>Ensures accurate and compliant purchasing procedures for all areas are maintained in conjunction with company policy.</li>
<li>In conjunction with the Executive Team, documents annual business strategies for the facility, both financial and marketing goals.</li>
<li>Provides consistent and routine communication with Executive Team as it relates to the daily operations of the division and long-term planning.</li>
<li>Assumes additional responsibility and guidance as directed and requested by the Executive Team.</li>
<li>Executes the personnel functions for entire facility by interviewing applicants, evaluating and reviewing employees and disciplining employees as necessary.</li>
<li>Follows fair progressive discipline / coach and counseling procedures.</li>
<li>Performs a daily walk-through and visible inspection of entire facility and all buildings. Communicates in writing to the department head, any area that is not in compliance with facility standards.</li>
<li>Approves the final hiring and discharge of any employee.</li>

<p><strong>MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Represent facility at various professional golf events and trade shows as approved by Executive Team.</li>
<li>Respond to any reasonable task assigned by Executive Team.</li>
<li>Active involvement within the communities and various associations as representation for facility and Executive Team.</li>
</ol>
