About the Role
Overview
Are you looking for a one of a kind, seasonal position with great pay? Look no further than Harbor Point Golf Club in beautiful Harbor Springs Michigan. Currently looking for a candidate with restaurant experience to take on the role of Assistant Manager for the Clubhouse. This position will include working alongside wait staff, handling inventory & employee scheduling, and event setup/teardown. The Harbor Point Golf Club is open for lunch only, as well as club and private events. This is a well-paying summer position with great hours, that includes free daily meals. Position requires serve safe certification, which can be completed upon hire. Bartending skills desired. Position runs from May, until end of September. Weekends required. Best seasonal job out there, hands down.
Duties
• Support staff training and development to ensure excellent customer service and adherence to food safety standards
• Assist in inventory control
• Supervise shift management, ensuring smooth transitions between team members and efficient workflow during busy periods
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and food handling procedures in compliance with health regulations
Skills
• Strong knowledge of POS systems, and the ability to learn Club Caddie
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally
• Demonstrated leadership abilities in supervising staff
• Familiarity with food safety protocols, inventory control practices, and food industry standards
• Experience in hospitality management roles such as assistant manager or restaurant supervisor is highly desirable
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
