About the Role
Old Waverly Golf Club is an exclusive private golf club steeped in tradition, elegance, and world-class hospitality. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Food and Beverage Assistant Manager to join our team. Must be able to work a flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays.
Duties/Responsibilities include:
· Work with the Events Coordinator, the Executive Chef, the Kitchen Staff, Catering Director, Shift Supervisors, and all other Clubhouse Staff.
· Check in beverage vendors and help organize product.
· Complete monthly wine, liquor, and non-alcoholic beverages inventory.
· Point of Sale system.
· Assists in recruitment, training, supervision and termination of F&B staff, in coordination with HR Manager.
· Ensure all new employees receive the appropriate safety instructions and training; establish and enforce all safety policies and procedures including OSHA regulations and ensures that appropriate proof of training is documented to the employees’ personnel files.
· Build a team, train, and maintain employee teams.
· Assures that all applicable club policies and procedures are followed.
· Will oversee the operation of Special Events and Outings
· Greet guests and oversee actual service on a routine basis.
· Address member and guest complaints and advises the General Manager about appropriate corrective actions taken.
· Monitors employee dress codes according to policies and procedures.
· Complete periodic china, glass, and silverware inventories.
· Monitor sanitation and cleaning schedules.
· Completes other appropriate assignments from the F&B Manager and General Manager.
· Subject to annual performance review by General Manager on the anniversary date.
Licenses and Special Requirements:
· Food safety certification
· Alcoholic beverage certification preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment
· Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
· Push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
· Continuous repetitive motions.
· Work in hot, humid, and noisy environment.
