About the Role
Golf Group Coordinator Under supervision of the Director of Catering and Conference Services, professionally and accurately coordinates the activities of the Resort's various departments for Golf Groups, typically 12 or more guests contracted through Group Sales, as well as Day Golf Groups and Tournaments. In addition, may coordinate corporate, association and social groups. Acts as liaison between the planner or group contact and the Resort staff from planning phase, through on-site events, to follow-up post departure. Contributes to a positive work environment.
Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort's actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process.
Qualifications:
Previous resort or hotel experience preferred. Food and Beverage experience preferred. Golf industry knowledge or experience helpful. Proficient computer skills and typing ability required. College degree required. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills preferred. Expectations & Responsibilities:
Meet with group representatives to conduct property tours and coordinate event planning. Plan and execute golf tournaments, banquet services, and group-related resort activities. Upsell a variety of resort services, amenities, and products to enhance the guest experience. Collaborate with multiple departments, including Food & Beverage, Retail, Golf Operations, Scoring, and other resort teams to ensure seamless group experiences. Coordinate both on-island and off-site activities for groups and events. Manage group accounting processes and monitor room blocks to ensure accuracy and availability. Distribute pertinent group and event information to resort departments through forms, meetings, and other communication channels. Monitor group activities to ensure operations meet or exceed client expectations. Resolve issues proactively through strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Maintain effective communication with clients, guests, and internal departments. Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and creativity in planning and executing events. Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed to support group and resort operations. Follow and support the Resort's Service Commitment and Core Values in all interactions and responsibilities. Essential Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout the resort property for extended periods while conducting tours, attending events, and overseeing group activities. Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer, telephone, and other standard office equipment to perform administrative duties.
