Responsibilities Responsible for daily setup and breakdown of the dining area Engage members when appropriate to make them feel welcomed and “at home” Inspect the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available Request additional supplies as necessary and stock the bar Prepare garnishes, fruits mixes, and pre-mixed drinks prior to opening the bar Mix, prepare, and serve drinks to members Collect all forms of payments for drinks served Communicate with the manager on duty of any issues and assist as needed Maintain and clean bar area and equipment Maintain records of liquor, beer, and wine to ensure bar stock is always maintained Clean bar area according to prescribed closing procedures Ensure that all food items are correctly stored, labeled, dated, and rotated to prevent any health or safety hazards from occurring, and take precautions against possible spoilage Attend staff meetings including pre-shift sessions and training as required Carefully follow all laws and club policies regarding alcoholic beverage and tobacco service Continually practice beverage and revenue control procedures Provide feedback on member comments or complaints to the management Complete any additional tasks as assigned by Food & Beverage Management Team Flexibility to be cross trained to work member events and dining Qualifications High School Diploma or GE At least 1-3 years of experience in a bartending Deep knowledge of wine, liquor, beer, food, and proper service Ability to create classic cocktails Must be 21 years of age Consistent weeknight and weekend availability Presentable - Able to put your best foot forward and present yourself in a clean and professional way to our members Strong Communication Skills - Able to assess needs and desires by communicating with our members and team Team Player - Work closely with Food and Beverage department leaders and fellow team members to meet goals Fast-Paced - Able to manage multiple tasks at once Ability to lift and move 25-50lbs Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time BENEFITS: Competitive compensation Scholarship opportunities Flexible schedules Growth and development opportunities Holiday pay Complimentary daily staff meals Golf course access on select Mondays This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required.
