The role available at The Woodlands Country Club is a comprehensive Golf Course Manager position demanding strong leadership, operational expertise, and strategic vision. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all sources of revenue including golf rounds, food and beverage, merchandising, and agronomy, ensuring that all departments are profitable and maintain cooperative relationships. The manager will develop and implement marketing plans and pricing strategies tailored to local and national market segments, adapting swiftly to changing market conditions. Active participation in sales planning and meetings is expected, alongside maintaining relationships with key account executives and monitoring sales team performance. Additionally, the role involves promoting Arcis Golf’s philosophies throughout the club, creating and managing annual budgets, and overseeing human resource functions such as employee retention, development, and motivation. Protecting the golf course assets via a preventative maintenance program, swiftly addressing guest requests, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, and fostering a customer-centric environment are key to success in this position. This role requires availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and being on call as needed. The physical demands include regular movement around the expansive property and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential to manage daily operations effectively and to strategize for long-term success.
