Greenskeeper/ Equipment Technician

About the position This position entails a dual role that supports the Agronomy Department. This dual role entails maintenance of the golf course as well as support tasks for the mechanical team supporting the equipment used for the maintenance of the golf grounds. The candidate will support both the Assistant Superintendent of Agronomy and the Equipment Manager. Responsibilities • Complete assigned tasks within given time limits • Drive a maintenance vehicle • Drive a tractor • Operate several different types of mowers • Perform manual labor as needed such as: Hand-watering areas without irrigation Rake bunkers Snow removal • Assist with handling preventative maintenance, repairs, and setup of all equipment and licensed vehicles used by the crew at the ground's maintenance facility • Inspect, replace/repair a wide variety of machinery used to keep the golf grounds in good condition. • Assist in the maintenance of inventory of parts and supplies • Assist with organizing maintenance records, parts manuals, and tools • Keep the shop clean and orderly Requirements • No previous experience required • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills • Ability to use technology such as smart phones, tablets, computers, web-based applications • Fluent in the English language • Must have a valid driver’s license • We are looking for individuals to join our team who want to share our values: to be professional, a team-player, genuine, attentive and forward-thinking Benefits • Medical • Dental • Vision • 401(K) matching • Paid Time Off • Pet Insurance
