Position Description

Willow Point Golf & Country Club pastry chef, you will be a central figure in the culinary leadership team, responsible for the high-standard production of all baked goods across diverse dining outlets—from casual turn-stands to formal fine-dining rooms and large-scale banquets.

Job Summary

The Pastry Chef oversees the daily operations of the pastry department. This role requires a balance of high-volume efficiency for events and intricate artistry for à la carte desserts, all while maintaining the strict quality standards expected by club membership.

Key Responsibilities

Menu Development: Designand execute seasonal, innovative dessert menus, artisanal breads, and signature pastry items for all club outlets.

Operational Oversight: Manage daily production schedules for à la cartedining, pastry carts, locker room amenities, and banquet event orders (BEOs).

Quality & Consistency: Ensure every item meets the club's standards fortaste, portioning, and "wow" visual presentation.

Leadership & Training: Help mentor, and train pastry staff in advancedtechniques, safety protocols, and standardized recipes.

Member Engagement: Occasionallyinteract with members to customize desserts for special occasions or gather feedback on menu features.

Compliance: Maintainpristine sanitation levels in accordance with local health department regulations and ServSafe standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Mastery: Expertisein classic and contemporary pastry, including chocolate work and laminated doughs.

Adaptability: Abilityto adjust recipes for dietary restrictions (e.g., gluten-free, vegan) and manage fluctuating workloads between seasons.

Experience: Typicallyrequires 3+ years of pastry experience in a club, resort, or luxury hotel.

Certifications: Adegree in Baking and Pastry Arts or ACF certification (e.g., CEPC) is highly preferred.

Physical Stamina: Capacityto stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
