About the Role
## Key Role Overview
The Golf Professional delivers high-quality golf instruction while building and maintaining a student base, partnering with local organizations, and promoting DICK'S House of Sport services. The role combines teaching, club-fitting collaboration, community outreach, and measurable financial/metric goals to grow lessons and services.
## What are the Key Responsibilities?
- Build and grow a student base by creating safe environments for golfers and delivering high-quality instruction.
- Assess clients to identify swing/game strengths and weaknesses, determine lesson goals, and act as a Trusted Advisor for each student.
- Continuously develop teaching skills, adapt instruction to students' learning styles, and seek opportunities for self-improvement.
- Strive to meet and exceed financial and metric goals through creative student acquisition and retention efforts.
- Lead and participate in community outreach by partnering with local organizations to promote lessons, fittings, club tech, and other services.
- Collaborate with Certified Fitters and teammates to enhance the Trusted Advisor experience during fittings and lesson planning.
## What are the Required Qualifications?
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Active PGA of America Class A or LPGA member in good standing, or PGA/LPGA Apprentice Level 1, 2, 3, or interest in becoming a PGA/LPGA member through the Associate Program.
- 3+ years knowledge of club-fitting through hands-on experience and/or OEM training.
- Track. Man Level 1 & 2 certification.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for golf equipment and related technology.
- Desire for continued personal learning and for teaching others; stays current with industry trends.
## What are the Preferred Qualifications?
- Advanced PGA/LPGA certifications or higher-level membership status.
- Additional OEM fitting certifications or extensive club-fitting experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading community outreach, promotions, or program development.
- Prior success in building lesson programs, meeting financial targets, and collaborating across departments (fitting, club tech, retail).

- Work arrangement: Full-time position located at Store1612 in Arlington, TX.
