Monday - Friday, 5:30am - 2:00pm, May - September, 6:00am - 2:30pm, September -
May. Hours are subject to change based on weather and course schedule. Weekends
and holidays as needed.

Definition:
Perform a wide variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks related to equipment operation, grounds
maintenance, construction and repair of City golf courses and related facilities.
Principal Duties:
Perform golf course maintenance operations, change location of cups, move tee markers,
put out flag poles, rake and edge sand bunkers, pick up and empty trash, fill ball
washers, repair ball marks, remove and replace sod in damaged areas or in new
construction.
Mow greens, collars, surrounds, tees, fairways, rough and native grass areas.
Operate a wide variety of equipment used in the maintenance of a golf course on routine
assignment or on a training basis, including front-end loaders, tractors, trenchers,
backhoes, utility vehicles, reel mowers, rotary mowers, specialized golf turf maintenance
equipment, and sprayers.
Participate in a wide variety of assigned maintenance duties on golf course grounds and
facilities including repair and installation of golf irrigation sprinkler heads, lines, and
controllers.
Perform equipment repair, adjustments, and lubrication.
Participate in the construction, maintenance and renovation of City golf course facilities.
Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other grounds maintenance chemicals.
Clean shop and restrooms regularly.
Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, turf, and landscaped areas.
Direct, assist and train less experienced personnel.
Work alone or as a member of a crew.
Maintain irrigation ditches and canals.
Accept on call assignments as needed
Working Environment:
Work is performed outside most of the time, under varying and extreme weather conditions.
Work includes exposure to noise, dust, pollen, gases and oils, solvents and chemicals including a
variety of herbicides, fungicides, pesticides and fertilizers. Work requires ability to communicate
and work cooperatively with employees and the public. Work requires ability to read and
understand pesticide labels, material safety data sheets, and equipment manuals and ability to
perform written record keeping. Work involves the possibility of being struck by a golf ball.
Incumbents are required to work overtime, holidays, and adjusted schedules as needed.
Incumbents in this position must be able to meet the physical requirements necessary to do the
job.
Qualifications:
Prior parks, landscape or golf course maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
Special Qualifications: Possession of a valid Colorado Driver License is required. Completion
of/or ability to complete First Aid, CPR, and Traffic Safety Awareness training within 6 months of
employment.
