Hope Valley Country Club is currently seeking golf course maintenance professionals that enjoy working outdoors in a dynamic team environment. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Our Club Hope Valley Country Club is in Durham, North Carolina, and managed by Bobby Jones Links. Hope Valley is a premier private club featuring a classic Donald Ross designed golf course, state-of-the-art tennis facility, resort-style pool complex, and a spacious welcoming clubhouse. It offers members first-class recreation, dining, and programming. Hope Valley is ideally situated in the heart of one of Southeast’s most vibrant, exciting areas. Hope Valley was host to a 1945 PGA tour stop that was Byron Nelson’s 4th consecutive victory on his way to his record 11 straight. Hope Valley’s classic Ross design has also hosted other notable tournaments including the North Carolina Amateur, Carolinas Junior Championship, and most recently the Carolinas Golf Association Junior Girls Championship. Responsibilities
• Perform a wide range of tasks associated with maintaining golf course and clubhouse grounds
• Work with management team to provide quality playing conditions throughout the year
• Operate small equipment including mowers, blowers, and hand-held power equipment used for maintaining golf course
Requirements
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• At least 1 year golf course maintenance or professional landscaping experience
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Eligible to work in the US.
• Ability to operate tools and machinery.
• Attention to detail.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Prolonged periods walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, or kneeling.
• Must be physically able to operate power equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
